Soft Case Recommendations for New Mid-Length AR

Hey guys, I've got all my AR parts coming in very soon so I want to have everything so I can hit the range ASAP. I've been looking into soft cases and need some recommendations. Don't need anything elaborate just something say around the $50 mark.

Here is the one I'm currently looking at:

Voodoo Tactical soft case. They're going for about $44 at Sportmsman Guide. Check also www.Slickguns.com

Really liking the backpack feature on those voodoo cases. I like the digital camo but black brings less attention. Hmm....

The VT ones through sportsmans guide might all be sold out @ the $44 + shipping price.

I paid full price for mine $80 + free shipping and love it. The backpack feature is definitely awesome. Carrying 2 rifles + mags and other tools/accessories gets heavy, especially when you have to carry an ammo box, so it helps to be able to just wear it on your back.

I've heard god things about the VooDoo cases, just didn't realize they were within my budget. So I think I'll go with the 36" but now I need to decide on color....

Damn, you are right. Not in stock until April 9, 2012!

36" should be big enough for a 16" mid-length with collapsible stock right?

Just need to find another place that stock em. For $30 more over budget, I'd be ok with that.

Easily will fit. A standard AR w/ 16" barrel sits at about 30-31" with the stock fully collapsed. I personally prefer to fully extend the stock on both my AR's to prevent as little side-to-side movement as possible.

Also, that VT is a double rifle bag in case you weren't aware.

Thanks. Yeah I figured the double rifle case leaves room for any additional toys I may acquire in the future

I have both a 32" case and 25" case. Obviously the 16" barrel rifle fits just fine in the 32" case with room to spare (stock collapsed). But I thought this setup was neat looking. Plus it was more compact to carry around.

The only other 'major' difference is that I have 4 mag holders in the smaller front pocket on the 32" case, and only 3 mag holders on the 25" case.

These are $33 shipped from Gear Hog.

                            You'll want the 38" version.
