Just wondering if anyone knows around the SF bay or Sac that sells or can get the Stiller Tac 408 action.

As if they're little tactical nukes, stacked up in "Assault Clips" ready to be "sprayfired" "from the hip" by pistol grip equipped "bullet hoses" instead of early variations of the softpoint bullets people have been using to take game with (and use for self-defense) for the last century.

Call up stiller and have them ship it to your local FFL. Jerry is a great guy to deal with.

Will do for sure, I have just never purchased anything online/over the phone that needed to be FFL'ed so was just nervous again. However, this build will be awesome:

      Stiller Tac408 Action (.408 Cheytac)
      Bartlein barrel
      XLR Evolution HD Chassis

It's no biggie, just contact the FFL first to let them know what you're buying (and make sure they're not on vacation, and find out what fees and taxes will be, etc.), then place order, then have FFL fax in their license to the seller. Easy peasy.

That's a good choice. Going .375CT? Don't skimp on glass...

Going .408 CheyTac, will hand load my own ammo. Gonna shoot 420g HPBT from Rocky Mountain Bullets.

Going with a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56mm with CH-2 reticle I think. Havent fully decided on this.

Actually going .375 cheytac, was talked into it by the guy at Bartlein I knew the ballistics were better for the 375 i just have never shot one...i have shot the 408 before, but everything seems a tad cheaper for the 375 .... so cheaper and better ballistics? cant go wrong

Yep, that's the main reason I sold my .408 - the .375 is better all around. You can make relatively cheap loads with SMKs when your friends want to shoot your rifle and you can make some serious ELR loads with a variety of monolithic solid bullets.

                    PS. Retumbo is your friend.
