Got an M1A with a leatherwood scope?

I just scored a leatherwood M-600 from a bud that had it on his now deceased Bushmaster carbon 15 (the one that exploded). If you have one of these and are shooting mil-surp 7.62, what cam setting are you using?. I preset mine at 340 to start.

Where did your cheek rest come from?

Looks like an OD Blackhawk model. I'm not fond of the eye holes for the laces so I used cloth under mind to protect the wood stock just in case.

Mine was for a Leatherwood ART2.

It sure does look like the OD checkrest that Blackhawk makes. I have one on my M1A and works great. Mine is on a synthetic stock and I haven't had any issues with the holes leaving any sort of mark on my stock.

Yep, she's a blackhawk and it is a good cheekrest. I saw a pic of one in Iraq on an M14 and had to have one. Now, back to the scope, anybody have one mounted on a .308/7.62 rifle?.

I have to ask, what type of M1A's are those? FA, Springfield, etc? I like the look of these setup with a scope.

http://leatherwoodoptics.com/manual1.html Page 15 on the left index.

Cam settings from the manual are: 330, 355, 375

The surplus I use is Aussie M4 with 150 gr. which is Full Metal Jacket or Code MC. That's a cam setting for 375. Dunno what your using - but it should be similar.

I have the manual, I just wanted "inside info". I went to angeles friday and shot during a couple tornados!. It took 50 rounds to get it on the money. The final setting was about 410 using South African 7.62. My rifle is a 1996 springfield loaded.
