Where can I find a Golani in the LA/SD area?

And how much can I expect to pay? I'd like to keep it under $750 with tax and DROS. Am I dreaming or can it be had?

Worse comes to worse you can order one and have it sent to your ffl.

plus the transfer should put you right under 750. Word of caution, Not all of them work and century warrants it 1 year from BUILD date. NOT when you purchase it... Century switched from the Finiky ORF receivers to Caspian receivers a couple years ago. Supposidly the build quality got better. I have an older ORF receiver and my friend has the caspian... Mine works, his doesnt... It is made by century, changing the receivers fixed one issue but the century factor still exists... I really like mine and I am glad I got one that works.

If it is a private seller, see if you can meet them at the range for a test fire... You wouldn't want to buy somebody else's problems.

Pennys Dad's post says no 5.56. Is that true of all Golanis? Seems strange the milled receiver can't handle it..

The question has been asked many times. Here is a link that should clear it up.

              Mine eats 5.56 no problem.

Has nothing to do with the receiver. The main difference between .223/5.56 is the throating. I'm not sure about the rifle penny's dad has, but every reference to the golani I can find lists it as 5.56mm(.223). Sounds to me like you'd be good to go.

Just wanted to follow up on this: Apparently the manual says 5.56 but people have called Century and they confirmed .223. I'm sure if your particular rifle shoots 5.56 it's fine though.
