Real quick question regarding pre-ban flash-hiders

I've done a few searches and not been able to come up with a precise response regarding my question. So here it is - is there any problem with me installing this upper:

on a featureless gun here in CA? Or, is the fact that I would intend to use this on a featureless be a problem? Would I be restricted to a BB gun because of the threaded pre-ban flash hider? Is the fact that there is a flash hider a problem? I'm assuming the only issue is the threaded barrel.

Any clarification on this would be appreciated.

I believe the flash hider itself is considered an "evil feature"

So, in short: Legal to buy and use in CA - but on a BB equipped "evil featured" gun?

Correct:
flashhider on a BB gun only...a flash hider is an evil feature.

On a featureless gun you use a muzzle brake or nothing at all.

Threaded barrels are a no-no only if on a semi-auto handgun.
