    Los Gatos Rod n Gun club allow steel core. Nor Cal, Bay Area.

    Makes it easier for them to clean up the range with magnets. I think most outdoor ranges in LA wont, due to fire risk.

      Where are you located? It's mostly a Socal thing because it's dry and hot down here. The ranges don't want the bullets to spark against rocks and start brush fires. Some ranges forbid magnetic ammo year-round but some ranges do allow it during the winter months.

          I got some older 55gr fmj AE223 red box, this stuff is easily 1" at 100yds with my Stag upper.
