    .50 DTC or .408?

I am interested in a bolt action rifle chambered in .50 DTC or .408 in the $2500 range. Any suggestions, or cautions are appreciated.

.408CT is having problems, due to unavaibility of reloading components since LRBs demise; EDM found different manufacturers but will sell first to people who bought their guns and only then to others and it is more expensive.
Originally I planned to get the .408 CT, but ended up with a Ferret .338 LM:
Ferret50.com is the home of the Ferret50 50BMG rifle conversion for the AR-15. Here's what we need to know to create this tenacious rifle kit for you.

I am sure he would build you a .510 DTC, but you have to call him for a price.

I would suggest calling Advanced Longrange Systems (ALS) and ordering a .510 DTC upper. Ferrets are also a good choice.

Don't forget the 416 Barrett. A little bit more pricey, but it has good ballistics.

I'll cast my vote for the 510 DTC.
Superior bullet choices that are not dependent on small specialized suppliers.
