Some may know. Im having a Saiga 74 converted and using a texas weapons rail. What optics do you fellow Cal Gunners prefer. I am slightly hesitant on a red dot or battery powered. I dont like the idea of taking out batteries for long term storage. I looked at the trijicon accupoint and valdada and primary arms. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Pictures please if you have them. Thanks

If you get an aimpoint, you don't need to take the battery out for long term storage. You can leave it on, and replace the battery every year on your birthday. Or every other year. Or every 3 years. Or every 4 years. Or every 5 years. Or, if an M4, every 8 years ( on setting 12 of 16).

This is what I use for my AK! Asuming you don't go with red dot sights, this 4x power is great for any distance you will shoot an AK.

If you have the coin this looks like a great optic. I tried to get a group buy going but its way too much money to spend for an ak scope.

Like it alot on my featureless buying another for my 7.62Greebo, as a matter of feline pride, would attempt to fight or rape absolutely anything, up to and including a four-horse logging wagon. its not really a problem.
posted this in another thread already but, here is my ak, UltiMAK gas tube rail and PA micro red dot mounted up front. used to have the PA optic on a side rail and the lack of cheek weld made it impossible for me to use

That is a very nice AK. Looks extremely functional...
Also, are you leaning your AK against a wall with wet paint?
I'm thinking of using an RS products mount with an Aimpoint on my Saiga-12, which is kind of like an AK.Comment
