Anyone have any comments about this MG42 conversion kit for the 10/22?

They are bit pricey for a clam shell design for the Ruger 10/22. They have been out for years and always figured the price would drop after time but they are still getting pretty penny for them.
You folks can own semi-auto MG42's correct?
Because I live ACROSS state lines I can have THIS MG42...

I cobbled one together many, many years ago.
Looks better than the Krinker Plinker. I gave it a wipe with the appropriately colored paints to give it a worn metallic look.
Then I discovered that the left side of the "receiver" has an indentation that will hold a 5.56 round. So now it's got a 9 round belt hanging there in a rather decorative way.
The glue used to hold the muzzle device was substandard to say the least. I just went ahead and drilled and tapped the plastic parts and carefully locktited the assembly with .25 ss setscrews.
The sights are garbage. But it's still fun.It's not PTSD, it's nostalgia.Comment
