    larue predatAR

My searching on the internet on this gun has shown a lot of people using this gun in fast shooting carbine courses. I cant find much on anyone using a low to mid powered scope on it for accurate shooting, despite how much everyone talks about its accuracy. Even larue puts an aimpoint t-1 on it to model their 18" barrel version. I was making the assumption, with the 18" lw50 that this was sort of an SPR light rifle, which i would like to use it as with 3-9x scope. Should I be looking at a different rifle?

It'll do fine with that scope. Mine is scoped with an SWFA 1-4x. The accuracy potential of the rifle is astounding.

Thanks, i really like the idea of the lightweight and accurate rifle that can be lugged around on those days out in the desert.

Yes, it is very light, but keep in mind, it's a 14" rail... it's not AS light as you might think. I mean sure compared to my 3-Gun SPR with Nightforce and Aimpoint it's light, but compared to my 14.5" Lightweight KISS rifle, it's actually a bit heavy.

Thanks for the heads up. Do you happen to know how much your Predatar weighs with its scope? did you leave the MOE stock on?

Little under 7.8 pounds with Larue SPR mount and SWFA 1-4x.

The rifle itself is 6.25 lbs unloaded.

I switched out the MOE for a CTR.
