You guys seem to think MBUS are made out of paper and string or something. Short of going to going to war or putting them on a LE duty rifle, they're perfectly capable.

Haha. I understand the thinking and do not disagree. That being said I probably will not need a forged crank shaft if I dont turn more than 6000 rpm but Ill buy them all day for peace of mind.

The barrel I am ordering has a VTAC floating hand guard, so I think that should be fine.

I forgot about Matech sights, these are good sights as well. Affordable and you can adjust elevation to engage targets between distances of 200-600m on the fly.

                I went with Troy personally.

My thoughts on BUIS, they are nice to have, the ability to practice and stay sharp with irons on the same rifle is a good thing in my book. However with that said, I also believe in quality optics, chances are if my optic goes down and I need to use the BUIS, I'm either already dead and or the rifle is probably inop anyways.

I have magpuls on my rifles now and they are fine for plinking. That is the cheapest I would go though.

I went with Troy as well. I figured I'd learn with iron sights first and use them as the main sights which they'd fit the bill for that. Then when I upgrade to optics I can fold them down. Plus it helped that Troy had that black friday sale with %30 off +$10 off a set of sights, which brought them down in price where it wasn't a hard stretch to get them over the Magpul BUIS.
