    Which bi-pod for a B&C stock with a flat bottom fore-end?

    Put on a B&C Medalist M40 on my Remy 700 AAC-SD.

The fore-end has a flat bottom. I originally put on a UTG Leapers bipod but it was made for a picatinny rail with an adapter plate. The adapter plate is rounded so it never quite engaged fully with the stock and resulted in slippage/rotation. I ended up transferring the bipod to my AR.

What bi-pod have people put on their flat bottom fore-ends? I was looking at the HARRIS BIPOD HBR-S 6"-9" (SWIVEL) online but not sure if this will fix the issue.

Maybe I could bed the existing adapter with epoxy to flatten it out a bit for more contact area.

Nevermind, I found a solution I think. Harris has an adapter for flat fore-ends (Harris Adapter #9 Flat Fore-End). I think I'll order a Harris 1A2-BRM 6-9" bipod with the adapter.

Or just screw a Magpul rail to the underside, they are flat and less than $8.

Wow, those look super nice but are also priced that way...way out of my league. I ordered the Harris 1A2-BRM 6-9" with the Flat Fore-end accessory #9.

            Swivel Stud ?

The B & C M40 stock shown on the Stocky's site has a swivel stud. The standard Harris bipod attaches to the swivel stud .. .. ..

That picture is the Tactical Medalist A2. Both have swivel stud but the Harris bipod mount is curved and I read how some have experienced losing the stud thread on their B&C. My issue with the previous bipod was the mount (also curved) was rotating indicating insufficient contact area with the fore-end. I want a fuller contact area to alleviate stress on the stud. The Harris accessory #9 was made specifically for flat bottom fore-ends.

glenntuc: I paid $107 OTD for the bipod and accessory #9. I don't really need a quick disconnect.

Yes, but I think most of the Harris bipods have a curved attachment area meant to match the curvature of most stocks. His new stock is flat on the bottom instead of rounded like most.

EDIT: oops, he beat me to it.

Brilliant. I should've thought of that. That looks really clean too!

Thanks. When I shoot relatively seriously for accuracy, I use a rest. But much of the time, myself and a guest may go plink, so I have a rail like this on the underside of every rifle I own and 2 picatinny bipods for quick attach flexibility among the various rifles.
