what muzzle devices "throw sound forward"?

I'd like to make my rifle quieter "to me", so by throwing the sound forward, thereby not creating a "silencer".

I've heard the Noveske KX3 does this, but they call it a flash suppressor and I need a muzzle brake or compensator that does this.

It will be going on a featureless rifle.

A comp or muzzle break by definition has to divert gases rearward in order for it to work, I don't think you'll be able to find one, but someone else may know something I don't.

Effin-A comp changes the sound in a pleasant way.

another vote for Levang , they do a great job with moving the blast out front , more of a stright back recoil impulse then others......i use them on 2 of my AR's

cool idea with the Troy, had no idea it was only $60. i'd been looking at those pricey battlecomps.

Troy Claymore. Throws sound forward, makes it seem quieter than standard A2.
The "best" handgun caliber debate rages on, meanwhile I just keep buying low recoil 00 buck.

What you want is a Levang Linear Compensator.

I have one on a Mini-14 and it works great.

the troy claymore sounds like the ticket for my next featureless build.
Until this thread i didn't know there was a brake that didn't blast the eardrums off anyone standing next to you. sweet.

I think I'm going to switch to the troy from the battlecomp. I read so much praise for the thing and bought into the kool-aid and it really isnt that impressive at all. Probably sell my battlecomp
