San Diego Area Ranges

Hey guys - I have a ton of el cheapo wolf ammo i wanna spend through the kel tec. Is there any san diego area ranges that let you use this stuff?

You will be hard pressed to find any indoor ranges that will let you use steel core ammo.

Best bet is outdoors in the desert where you have a slim chance of setting a fire.

Their 50 and 100 yard indoor backstop is comprised of huge piles of shredded tires. Leaves a interesting combination of gunpowder and burnt rubber smell when RM calls cease fire and you retrieve/set-up your targets.

and they are an awesome range that cares about safety , with really nice range officers as well

If it weren't for them closing so early, I would actually go to p2k on a semi regular basis. As it stands, Iron Sights is my range... no steel there though.

I had heard about p2k but wasnt sure if they allowed wolf. I called them but never got a call back. I live like half an hour from there but thats where ill be going from now on.

Yes: South Bay Gun Range http://www.sbrgc.org/ Phone before going, as the range has been closed due to a little fire damage. I've been told it was to be up and running by today.

South Bay is open for use by MIL Units / LEO's and for sanctioned matches. SDG&E (power) and ATT? (phone) have been a little slow replacing the lines out to the range. Still no power/water or phones.

TPTB hope to get everything up and running this or next week.

Thanks for the input. I was told by another RO that it may've been up today. I knew they were allowing matches as long as phone and water were made available.
