Registration requirement for shotgun??

Here is the situation, I am originally from Idaho. About 2 years ago, my brother, who lives in Idaho, sold me a shotgun that was registered in his name. About a year ago I moved to California. The shotgun is still in my brothers name. Does CA law state that I need to register that in my name or report it to the DOJ?

I'm not sure about Idaho, but in california long guns(with very few exceptions) do not get registered. As long as you made a legal transfer in Idaho 2 years ago you're fine.
