    A2 clamp on front sight gas block

    How far off will the sights be if I use the Armalite clamp on front sight with a flattop upper I I don't get the .040 taller sight blade? The thing is I want to run a hiviz front blade.

    Thanks

      I'm sure you can figure out how to zero it, but adjusting for range will be another thing. This assumes you understand why you need the .040" higher post.

        I figured it wouldn't make that much I a difference as far a adjustability how much would I be loosing in elevation adjustment? My guess is not mug especially on. 16" barreled carbine

        Thanks

          I have the armlite on my .22lr cmmg upper. Just cranked the front sight post down further until I had a good zero at 33 feet. Haven't shot it outdoors yet but it zeroed just fine for elevation. Left right was more of a pain in the butt. Kept tweaking it to far and then over correcting the other direction.

            This might explain it clearer;
            Doesn't the use of an F-marked front site base depend on the rear sights on the detachable carry handle? There are two different kinds:One has the rear sight sitting below the top of the carry handleT
