    9mm lower question

Is there a special lower for 9mm or is it a regular 5.56 lower with different internal parts?

I clearly know nothing about this so...

Both, you can get a startard 5.56 lower and usually in a kit can get the mag kit to allow the smaller mags.

Otherwise, you can get a dedicated one from Double Diamond...

If you have a 5.56 lower already you can get a mag block assembly, or like he said a kit with mag block and mags. Or you can get a dedicated 9mm lower

I have done both. CMMG dedicated 9mm lower and a Hahn mag block in one of my 5.56 lowers. Both work well.

I went with the Hahn bottom loading mag block. Nice piece of gear and a very tight fit. Feeds well from C-Prods mags.

You need mag block,9mm hammer,9mm buffer. to fit your .556 lower.I have a ASA upper on a A/W lower.I use promags, factory Colt and Modified UZI mags. Mine seems to run better with hot loads.

You likely won't need the special 9mm hammer as the generally preferred way to go nowadays is to use the ramped 9mm bolt carrier. Standard ar hammer works fine.
