Remington 700P busted, what to do?

I just removed the recoil pad off of my Remington 700P HS preciscion stock and I think I broke it. By prying the rubber part to look for the screw hole, I ruined the recoil pad. I found two hole on the plastic part between the rubber nad the stock, but the rubber part was not attached to it by screws, only glue. Since I ruin the rubber part I decided to continue further and opened the plastice part and fill the hollow part of the buttstock with lead pellets to balance things out. Now I don't know what to replace the recoil pad with? I did a seach and I was not able to find a replacement or an upgrade pad for the stock. I found one on limb saver but I have to grind it. I don't want to do this because I do not the have a grinder. I looking for a recoil pad that I can glue onto the stock. Anyone know?

Umm, I already answered you in your other thread...

Your only other option would be fitting some sort of slip-over on it but that might not work well with the open end of the stock having nothing there.

Yes, I know they sell replacements on line. But the padding on those are as thin as baloney. And limbsaver slip on (IMHO) does look that great either.

So then you need to epoxy on a replacement and grind it to fit. There's no way around this.
