    PTR 91 optic mount broken

So while attempting to reattach my ZF-24 scope w/ stanag mount to my PTR 91 I seem to have snapped the super small pin on the left side locking arm cam. It is that tiny little pin that allows you to have leverage against the left side locking arm when attaching/reattaching the mount.

Did I just force myself to buy a new $230 stanag mount or is there way to fix this? i.e. a replacement pin and instuctions.

    ETA: pics

Could you drill it out with with a drill press and use a drill bit shank as the pin?

Edward that sucks, sorry to read that. I would think you could do as above and fix it though. Try drill bit shank or a roll pin.
      Good luck.

Seems like it would be worth a shot. I'll rummage around and try to find something of the right diameter.

ETA: I am notoriously bad with such things. 50% chance I come out of this with an amputated hand, no mount, a busted scope, and $10k in property damage.

Haha, that was damn funny. Well, I would definately unscrew the scope off the stanag mount before working on it. Do you have a gunsmith local to you? Gotta be cheaper than a new mount. That said, I have seen these mounts for sale by individuals for a lot less than 230. Some folks buy the hensoldt, then mount it on an arms 5 mount and sell the claw separately. Good luck. Let us know how it turns out.

You can also try to drill and tap it and use a small allen screw, or drill a small enough hole to use a longer allen with a nut to retain it from the other side. Or thru drill it and install a short roll pin.

Well just make sure the scope is not attached to the mount, while attached to the loaded rifle, don't use your hand as the vise, use a sharp drill bit and you just might survive this.
