    Threaded barrel on AR upper

Is a threaded barrel legal in California on a 16" LMT upper?

When I decided on LMT, their website failed to mention that the barrel was threaded but some dealers websites state they are threaded. Obviously, I want this to be legal.

Threaded barrel is no problem, whether featured w/ bullet button or featureless.

      Yes
I like to see that you are checking instead of just assuming

If it longer than 16.000" you can petty much have anything short of a suppressor on there
      muzzle break,flash hider,comps,open threads,thread protector etc

O ya that brings up a good point
If it is "Featured" pretty much anything under the sun
If it is "Featureless" you need to check the flow chart

Threaded barrel on a pistol makes it an assault weapon but rifle is fine.

Cool, I did not see the threaded barrel issue on the chart so I figured I would double check. Thanks.

good for you for asking. the reason the rifle and shotgun flowcharts do not ask about threaded barrels is because threaded barrels are not not considered evil features in CA, and don't matter if you have them or not.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
