    Cash and carry

My brother is a CA resident and wants to sell a rifle (non-C&R) to a Washington state resident. From what I hear, in WA all private party sales can be done FTF without an FFL. So can he sell it cash and carry in the state of CA to a WA resident, or would he need to travel to WA to do this? I couldn't find any specific info on this situation.

    Thanks

waiting for a FFL to chime in but when in Rome you do as Romans do.

A firearm sale inside CA must comply with CA law.

I believe it must be done at a ffl.

I remember tx residents can sell to other tx residents ftf, but when selling to another state resident, it must be done at a dealer in tx.

Definitely not...if the sale takes place in CA, they must abide by CA laws.

Ca resident to WA resident is an interstate sale - Fedlaw requires using FFL in the state of residence of the receiver.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
