If you're dissappointed by Surefire, I'm not sure there are any lights that'll fit your needs.Comment

I'm with ^.
The price may be high but SureFire has very high quality lights. Check if your product is genuine.Comment

I like to see options, strobe is one of them. The few Surefires i seen didn't work.Originally posted by Kestryll..you're kind of a sad excuse for an attorney...Originally posted by Libertarian777...Don't pick either side....Comment

There are better lights, but you start getting into prices close the how much your rifle costs. Malkov industries comes to mind. Not sure how easy it would be to find a mount for some of these extremely high end lights... as others stated Surefires and streamlights are more than most people need.

surefire = overpriced , the snap-on tools of flashlights imo
fenix could easily match the performance and quality on any surefire model , have more functions and still beat the priceComment

I am the anti-brand snob here. A Stag is 100% just as good as a BCM or Colt, there is no difference that matters to 99.9% of the people, and the other 1% are better severed with better than Mil-spec.
That is not true for things like Surefire, Streamlight, and the "off-brands" like MagLite and Fenix, and Pentagon. Surefire places nearly 85% of their cost into reliability, while the off-brands place reliability next to function and cost.
So the off brands offer things like strobe, multiple intensity levels, funky switches even at the risk of failures induced by these features.
Surefire will not.
So whats the difference between the 100% replacement guaranty's of Craftsman and Snap-on? If the Craftsman wrench breaks, you go get another one free of charge... the Snap-on wrench will not break in the first place.
The same is true for Optics. My C-more is a great optic. It has a warrenty... I am not about to throw it as hard as I can into a brick wall as I would do with a Aimpoint T1... the Aimpoint was designed to take that abuse... my awesome C-More was not.
I am not bashing Pentagon, MagLite or Fenix here...I am just pointing out there is a valid and notable difference between the manufacturers.Last edited by dieselpower; 10-18-2011, 9:19 PM.Comment
