There are no such thing as "overriders" as that would be illegal. However, there are TOOLS available to make the release of fixed magazines more convenient. I would suggest the Prince50 tool and bullet button.

The minute you leave CA, you can remove the BB and install a regular magazine release. Takes less than 2 minutes if you have the proper tool.

You then re-install the BB BEFORE returning to CA.

Don't get stupid... a felony conviction is a life long ban on firearms not to mention it has to be disclosed on job applications, memberships in certain clubs, banned from many careers. The ARREST alone even WITHOUT a conviction has long lasting repercussions. Its not freaking worth it.

why dont you look into this

turn the screw all the way in and it is locked (Featured in state)
turn the screw all the way out and it is unlocked (out of state, rimfire, featureless)

As others have mentioned please follow the laws
Im sure you cannot fathom the consequences and repercussions.

At every gun show I have been to there is always a booth with the "ultimate BB tool" is is magnetic and instantly turns the BB into a regular release. It is legal in CA as long as you only put it on to release the mag and then remove it. If you leave it on then it makes the AR an AW, but out of state it is easy and simple without having to remove anything. Some of the booths even have a button (for your shirt) that comes with it to keep it one when shooting.

+1 on the raddlock and the advice.

Here's the "overider" for a Raddlock, it's pretty complicated but with some practice you can probably deploy it and be done in about 10 seconds:

                        I do agree

If you are going to go locked in CA it is the way to go
yes you spend more but it is superior

I keep the included tool in my grip so I always have it with me

It sounds like the OP is asking about the bb magnet that's sold at gun shows, and is illegal to use in CA.

I'm all for helping people with CA legal facts, parts, and info. But with 2 posts and the way the OP is asking, it sounds like he might have just made the account to post asking where & what to get for his CA bullet button. If I'm wrong about it, then I admit it. But the 'tool' that he's asking about with a magnet always brings up controversy.
