Quick Rail Question

Hey guys, If I get the DD MK18 9.5 Rail and slap it onto a Noveske N4 14.5" Afghan Stainless Upper Would it work? or any upper for that matter (Going for that "carbine" look)

And if anyone knows if RifleGear can anodize parts that would be great.

the dd rail will have a new barrel nut that will replace the current one. the rail mounts onto the dd barrel nut.

it's essentially a full rebuild of the upper to change the handguard systems...

It looks like you should be good to go as long as the barrel has a low profile gas block. I don't know if you really have to use the Daniel Defense MK12 gas block though.
