Rails on rails? Did they just do that? Seems a bit unnecessary weight and complexity.

Not sure what you mean. The rail sections are removable and able to be put in diferent positions. The top rail is non removable.
The hand guard is adaptable to be used in full length or shortened using rail sections with it.

This will give you a better idea:

It's just like any other modular rail - you put rails where you want them - makes perfect sense to me.

Ok, I see it now that I've zoomed in on the video. It originally looked like the rifle already had rails on it, and the plastic hand guards and additional rails were then attached on top of what I thought were already rails.

With the rail sections, retail is $149.95

The new polymer hand guard sections have not been released yet. They will also be available in colors. What colors I don't know yet.

This looks amazing! I want to see a solid product first before I set my heart on it, but from what I see in the video it will be a product I will pick up

                    I like it!
The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.

It seems a bit pricy for the length. Check out my handguard review in my signature.

                      Cheers

You would have to see it and handle it to really appreciate how much different it is.
The big hold up with the Revolution Handguard right now is the barrel nut wrench to install it with. Still not available for general sales. That means unless you send the upper in or order it with th rail, you would have difficulty installing it.

Now I am a Midwest Industries fan and have done testing for them. Great product for the price.

I see so they require a special barrel nut wrench and there is no way to use something in the toolbox? Can you post a picture of the barrel nut, hopefully the proxy servers lets it go through or ill take a look at it later at home. I'm sure there is a tool one can use as a substitute. Nice looking hand guard none the less.
