I also understand there are some converted Saiga's that don't do the magazine conversion to standard AK mags. I've seen quite a few of those.

True, just want to be sure the OP doesnt buy those thinking they will work on a Saiga that has a bullet guide installed.

Sportsmans Guide will absolutely not ship those to CA for anyone - LEO, the Pope, your Mom... nobody.

Then again, I get Tapco AK mags for about 6 bucks locally, and they work awesome.

To the OP, that is a good deal, if those are the mags you really want, but as I already mentioned, they won't ship to CA.

Your best bet is to order from Exile Machine - he has them for $25 and he will convert them to repair kits (for free, I think.)
