Camo VS Plane color for a rifle

Hi guys, I am new in this forum and I need you opinion. I am in the market to buy a hunting rifle, but beside the classic controversy of Win VS Rem I have another question. Limited editions offer a "camo" design on the stock and regular production has solid colors like black or olive green (synthetic). My question is: Does the color or camo design on the stock offers any advantages in hunting? Can they be less detected by an animal? or it is only a fashion statement. Thank you all.

With camo, u cant shoot 20 schoolers and jump into the bushes. No one will find u there.

I am of course sarcastic. Camo is more or less useless....

Aren't most animals color blind plus you most like will be pretty far where your riffle won't be noticed.

Unless of course you're not the only one in the forest hunting for Bambi ...

Bambi's will likely smell you long before they see you (or you them).

Then you'd definitely better wear orange ... or Bambi might mistake you for a long lost love.

OK guys, I get it. When shooting from the distance, color does not matter. I just do not want to get trapped in the marketing net. I am not a young buck, but sure are a new hunter and I need your experience to be a safe and better hunter. Thank you all.

I suggest any of these plane colors:

Seriously ... camo can be worthwhile for general concealment. It's popular with duck-hunters, for example, who are in pretty close proximity to their prey.

One problem with buying a commercially prepped camo job is that one camo pattern doesn't usually work in all environments. But if you want to blend in to a particular environment, get some Krylon (they make it in earth-tone colors) and spray a few different colors on the gun in a random pattern (don't spray the scope though). Later on, you can get the Krylon back off fairly easily.

When you lay your camo patterned rifle down to visit mother nature, you might not be able to find your gun easily again. But if you do camo the gun, be sure to get a camo wallet that matches.

It's almost as important as the camo man purse. . . er, bug-out bag. . .I mean urban assault pouch. . . or the rapid deployment pack, or anything "modular"!

Actually I will agree that for waterfowl ist kinda useful, especially if u got a little tent or foxhole lol. The rifle is designed to take the animal down before it sees u well.

You'd do well to cammo the inside of the barrel because hopefully, that's what is pointing at your prey.
