i just watched a review of this particular rifle made by nutnfancy and it seems to be a good buy. does anyone have any experience with this rifle? it seems as if it mite be a cheaper alternative to an ar for just plinking not serious zombie killing. any thoughts?

It needs to be modified in order to be CA legal.

Two methods...
Featureless = Add a grip fin (no pistol grip) and add a stock extension (30"+ OAL).
Fixed magazine = Add a maglock & use 10 round or less magazines and add a stock extension (30"+ OAL).

Due to the stock extension, it does not lock into place when folded in half.

It's easier & less expensive to add a stock extension, then to have the barrel threaded and add a muzzle brake.

I bought mine from marks armory. Mine is in. 40. Marks armory installed a bb and my ffl took it apart before he let me have it. Originally I butchers an ati recoil pad for the buttstock extension. Now I have a gripfin, and I bought the kt factory stock extension. If you are in the av area ever you can shoot mine to try it out it is an awesome little carbine. Very accurate. Also shares mags with my g22. Btw I bought the last extension from kt. They are outs stock now. But jump on the gun if you can find it.

O yea and with the extension mine still folds properly.

+1 on what Doc said, I have the same model (.40 with Glock 22 mags). I have had a few FTFs (light primer strikes?) I'm chalking that up to everything being new and stiff. It's a fun little gun that folds up small enough to fit in my backpack, that has decent enough accuracy out to about 150 yards. If you plan on getting one check with Kel Tec (call them, the website doesn't get updated) for the stock extension + I think I got the stock extensions shipped cheaper than it would have been just placing an Internet order. Also thinking about going with a grip fin as well, the Kel Tec BB is a pain in the rear and unless it's Locktited in it loosens up while shooting, not something I Want to have fall off or loosen up enough that I could get popped for. All in all one of the best bangs for the buck that I own.

Have a Glock 17 model, love it. I don't find any use for the locking feature (i.e., you can lock it folded with the supplied key) - but, I don't have kids. It was kind of picky about ammo at first, but after a few hundred rounds it got much less picky. Very light, easy to handle, low recoil, lots of fun. I put the Red Lion Precision forearm on it, and now I can keep a red dot mounted (the Red Lion forearm rotates so it can still fold with an optic or red dot mounted). I'm still debating buying a second one, maybe in Beretta to match my 92FS.

Oh yeah, I have a bullet button for it, and the stock extension.

They are cool little rigs. I like just about everything about them, including the concept itself...cheap little beat-around rifle that folds to 16 inches, and uses my pre-ban 9mm Glock mags. I think I'd like to have those primative sights a touch higher though...if you could use the same type of heads-up position as with an AR, this gun would be even more fun. I chose "featureless" but I usually take it to NV and shoot sans fin. Even 9mm packs a punch through a 16" barrel. I say DO IT!
