I'm looking to upgrade my hunting rifle, it's a Ruger M77 MKII in .270. Love the rifle overall but have never liked the Ruger trigger. Anyone have any experience with these triggers in this application.

I have a rifle basix SAV-1 in my Savage Edge .270 and its great. I have never used Timney but for rifle basix I would highly recommend them. -
I have several aftermarket triggers especially for Ruger. All things being equal, Rifle Basix is cheaper but workable. Timney is better. Jewell is best. Anything is better than a stock Ruger triggerhttp://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/...0fa5fefab1.jpghttp://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/...Untitled-2.jpghttp://i1150.photobucket.com/albums/...tar76148_1.jpg

Timney. I've used them for a Weatherby Vanguard, and it was awesome for a bolt gun. Shot plenty in AR's as well and they're almost always super clean breaking great triggers. I'd highly recommend a timney over a rifle basix.Comment

Nothing but Basix in all my Savages. Fully adjustable from 'what the hell', down to 'oh my gosh'."A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......CiceroComment

Honestly, you can't go wrong. Both are highly regarded.Comment
