Will a heavier buffer in an AR reduce felt recoil?

OP, when you say 7.62, you are referring to 7.62x39, correct?

yup he's talking about 7.62x39, not 7.62x51. These threads kill me. Its always a good laugh when people think a 7.62 AR15 upper means somehow you figured out a way to make .308 fit through the magwell. I still have yet to even see a single shot .308 upper (not saying its not out there someplace, jsut that I haven't seen it)

Yep, 7.62x39. I figured that would've been self explanatory since a .308 won't fit in an AR15 mag well.

Keep the wife happy and shooting - just spend 400 bucks on a ar upper in 223/556 and she will be much happier or it give you an excuse to buy a whole nother gun.

Negative. I'm trying to consolidate calibers. The AR was the only gun I had/wanted in 5.56, every thing else is in 7.62x39. All my rifles are 7.62, either x39, x51 or x54r. Makes it way easier to buy ammo.
