New WASR 10 Owner, where to shoot?

Hey all, just purchased my first rifle which happens to be a WASR 10/63, which is a 7.62x39mm. I'm located in Brea, California, so the indoor Orange County range is about 5 minutes away, only problem is I can't take my rifle there. My question is, are there any indoor ranges that would allow this type of rifle? Or do I have to go to somewhere like Azusa/Sylmar to an outdoor range? Any suggestions, indoor (or outdoor) that are near to me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Adding a few pics to show off the goods..
JUST got my metal mags! Looks legit now, check it out..

There is actually a thread here somewhere that has a list of multiple ranges with the types of guns/ammo you can use there.

You can try Burro or Angeles outdoor range but I think they're sensitive to steel core/bi-metal rounds when it's still Summer so you may have so keep that in mind. Raahauges in Corona doesn't care if you have steel core ammo but they're kind of pricey.

On Target in Laguna Nigel lets you shoot anything you want if you pass their rifle class on Sunday mornings. We also shoot their as a group every second Friday of the month. If enough people show interest, we can put together a rifle class. But we haven't held one since the second shoot last year due to a lack of interest.

Oh, and you will want to shoot it outdoors at some point. Pick up some Yugo surplus and you won't have to worry about metallic ammo restrictions.

            Menacing Methods,

In you hood I don't think there are any indoor ranges where you can shoot your new rifle. In LA there's LAX range available BUT you have to buy their ammo and most likely they'll charge you an arm and a leg for the ammo. I highly suggest you head to an out door range. It's much safer and you can shoot from as little as 25 all the way out to a good 100 yards to sight in your rifle. Angeles is your best bet but realize steel isn't allowed there and were now in fire season. Even Burro will be most ammosensitive as well.

Thanks for all the replies, it's much appreciated. Sounds like I'll be sticking to the outdoor ranges, Burro Canyon and Raahauges sound pretty promising. I went to Angeles in Sylmar a couple days ago but it's a bit of a drive from where I'm at. I'll search for that thread Roecar was talking about, but any more suggestions are more than welcome.
Ammo suggestions are welcome as well. As with most noobies, all the different ammo types can be a bit confusing for me. I purchased 2 boxes of Federal American Eagle 124 grain Full Metal Jacket cartridges, would these be allowed at say, Burro Canyon in Azusa or Angeles Range in Sylmar?

If you can make the trip and have tons of ammo to shoot. Go to SLOSA...No ammo restrictions and a range that goes out to 300ish yards and targets out to 400yrds. Get some Ammo from AIM that is brass $214 each...I bought 2 cases last week and ordered a 3rd so now I have over 4k rounds of AK ammo including some Wolf I have.

By the way, congratulations. Let us know how it shoots 2-5 inch groups at 100yrds is good.

Love the WASRs rough looks. Get to the range and let us know how it shoots. Get some magazines as well.

also, if it has slight magazine wobble, you can put some JB weld in the mag well to stop the wiggle. Makes it feed FLAWLESSLY
