    RRA A4 varmint upper question

i am looking in to getting this upper, but i was trying to make this rifle a budget build.

anyone know an upper that is comparable?
    - SS bull barrel
    - low profile covers
    - rails just on upper and front sight
    - rifle length gas system
    - looks rad

i guess my main point is the low profile barrel covers. i dont like the bulkiness of the traditional colt style covers, nor do i like the triangular ones either. quad rail is just unnecessary. i like the tasteful look of the RRA's barrel and cover.

like i said, dont wanna fork over that much cash right now. any suggestions?

    Stag makes one

    what barrel length are you looking for ? 18, 20, 24 ?
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

Be patient, save up, and just buy the RRA.

Just get the RRA. It's worth every dime IMHO. Plus the RRA isn't that expensive compared to others.

What twist rate did you want? 1:8 should be just fine. If you really want to shoot light bullets, go 1:12. The nice thing though is the Hornady NTX 35 grainers shoot like heavier bullets since they are non-lead. Just use those in your 1:8.

I have the version from RRA predator pursuit. The 1/8 twist is great for stabilizing heavier bullets. I found mine for around 525 here on the sales thread. Good luck
