You can hunt with a 250 round belt on a 1919 if you legally own it. There is no magazine restrictions in California when it comes to hunting with a rifle. Shotguns are different though. However, we do have magazine regulations here but, they are only for any magazine or ammunition feeding device that holds more than 10 rounds which you did not legally own prior to 1-1-2000.

Sounds like another on-line vendor who is overly cautious in shipping to CA. Try convincing him it's okay. I've had luck about 1/3 of the time in convincing a seller to ship to CA.

For a magazine you can buy, 10 rounds(10 in the magazine, 1 in the chamber for a total of 11)

For rebuilding a magazine you have, unlimited.

I'm not sure why you are asking. If you have legally owned magazines, go for a featureless build and don't worry about it. IF you are thinking of breaking the law because you can get away with it, don't. It's that simple.

If they were in your possession before Jan 1 2000, yes you can use them on a featureless rifle.

No, because your uncle broke the law when he gave you the mags, though I'm not sure if you broke the law or not for accepting them.

There is no law against using the magazines, just a law against buying, selling, importing, and transferring them.

it doesn't matter when your uncle bought them. It matters when he gave them to you. If he gave them to you pre-2000, then all is good. If he gave them to you after 1-1-2000, then he committed a felony.

how or when you acquired magazines has nothing to do with if you can legally build a featureless rifle. Anyone legally allowed to possess firearms can legally build a featureless rifle.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

ther are no ammo limits for bolt action rifles, only shotgun in certain areas and for certain game. did the seller tell you what law he thought he was going to violate? that rifle doesnt hold more than five anyhow does it? since its an internal magazine and all?

You can always legally build a featureless rifle. As far as the mags go, if YOU did not have them before 1-1-2000, can you say "FELONY"? You've been here long enough and have obviously posted enough that you should completely understand this stuff by now. What is calguns doing wrong? Why do people have so much trouble understanding a few simple concepts?

I'm assuming you received these rebuild kits after 1-1-2000, otherwise he would have just given you the mags. In that case, they must stay as rebuild kits. The rebuild kits you see for sale are for those who already legally posses 10+ mags.
