I was talking to a guy at J&R Guns about purchasing a Tikka T3 Lite in .223, and now I'm trying to figure out what barrel twist rate the rifles they come in. They have 3 distributors and I checked davidsons, and it doesn't list the twist rate of their available T3 Lites. The Tikka website lists two twist rates for the .223, 1:8, and 1:12.
If any of you have purchased a T3 Lite .223 recently, do you happen to know the twist rate of your rifles? There are a lot of answers on Google, but they're all from 2-3 years ago, and things might have changed. The guy at J&R Guns is telling me that the T3 Lite only comes in 1:12 twist, even though it clearly shows in the data sheet that it comes in two different calibers (even in their FAQ).
Also, if you're reloading for your rifles, what bullet weight are you using for your twist rate? I'm not 100% sure which would be the best. I plan on just having this rifle as a 100-200 yard paper puncher.
