I have a 7 digit and it was made in feb. of '45 if i recall correctly. Yours would be sometime in '44. Mine is mint too and I paid $600 last year and I think I got a pretty good deal on it.

Your rifle was made in late 1942. Somebody could probably get you a month/year. What it is worth depends upon what parts are on it. Most of these rifles have been refurbished, several times even, and no longer have the original parts on them. The price difference between a never refurbished and a refurbished rifle is huge. Barrel date, presence of stock cartouches, and types of sights would be a starting place to let you know if it had been rebuilt. Beyond that, most of the individual parts have drawing numbers on them that can be traced back to what should have been on the rifle when manufactured. And as people like to say, this thread is useless without pictures Rebuilt M1s in service grade currently go for $595 at the CMP. Nice condition rifles with six digit # and original parts go for thousands.
Check back later for a witty comment.

If it's mint (I doubt it), then it's probably worth say $3500.

If it's a nice reparked and or mixmaster M1, then maybe $700.
