    Muzzle Brake...

Maybe getting one of the following Muzzle Brakes for my AR15. And if I like it, I will get it for my AR308. Anyone have tried one of the 2 muzzle brakes listed below? Or tried both? Which one do you favor and why? Do you have a picture of it on your rifle? Any feedback would be good, thanks...

PWS is awesome! I have it on my 14.5" mid length AR 15. You really notice the difference in muzzle rise on your double taps. My dad and I have one on our AR's and have never noticed it being louder when shooting next to each other. Highly recommend it!

I have that pws. Night and day difference over the standard FH. Every AR I build will be getting a brake now. Leterally one of the first mods anyone should spend money on.

The Surefire is my favorite -- I have had one on just about every 308 I've owned - RREALLY decreases recoil -- and lets you mount silencer --

God! I didn't realize how many guns I've had with SF muzzle brakes --

while the surefire brakes are awesome, the price is not, my Milicek cost me $30 and it probably performs better, it just hurts the ears a bit, but my buddies surefire hurts the ears and the wallet. and a suppressor is not an option in CA. im just saying...

i threw a stag brake on mine, works great and does the same job as the 200+ dollar ones... and mine was 27 bucks.

and its a great way to make people hate you at the range i had a guy next to me put on a SECOND pair of eye glasses because the blast from the muzzle was pushing his first pair off

Yup, I agree. The Stag comp is underatted but works just as good, if not better, than the designer labels. I think you can get one online for $19 if you look around. It's $25 from directly from Stag.

To the OP: I'd pick the Surefire over the PWS.

First off i just want to say I hate X-NewYawker. No one should have that many cool rifle in Ca.

Now on to business, I have the PWS and it's pretty good for a pertty good price. I heard the Sure Fire is wicked loud so be aware at indoor gun ranges. Friend of mines is gettting one this week. Will let you know and sorry but no pics at this time.
The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!

                        And Tango Down Bi Pods...

                        I'm so jealous...

But back to the topic, there's also the AAC Breakout Comp.

The Tango Down bipods are actually pretty heavy. Look cool but not very practical. I wouldn't put it on a gun I plan on porting a lot.

I have the PWS on a XCR-L. Works very well but harsh for those standing next to you. There are other options out there. The Surefire brake is very similar to the AAC and Ops Inc. brakes. All are expensive. And since you can't have silencers in CA, there is no point.

Take a look at this thread: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=466699
