How can you tell if Magpul items are legit on ebay?

IMO they are so cheap to begin with, skip eBay and buy from a reputable dealer, preferably a local California one that supports calguns.

I don't know about now but I got a full mil-spec CTR and buffer tube for a really good price on ebay but that was before there was a ton of knock offs coming out of China.


If you don't know how to spot a fake or a bad seller then you shouldn't be using Ebay.

Looking to get a stock and grip off ebay. I've heard that there are fakes out there. Is there a way to tell?

They might not be fake. They might be legitimate airsoft versions.

It is pretty easy to tell if they sell airsoft and fakes by looking at their other items. If they are all geared towards airsoft stuff then you know what kind of seller you are dealing with. Also, if they are located in China then you also know. But if they are located in the states, and all their other stuff is geared for live fire then you are safe. They are NOT trying to fool you. It will say BRAND NAME then STYLE or CLONE afterwards if it is not real. Otherwise they would get nailed with negative feedback and forced off ebay.

Watch out with Ebay and even gunshows. Airsoft and knock-off have been getting better. Every time I see one of those "Might be a knock-off" threads I read it and check some of my items. Even dealers can get fooled or might know they're knock-offs and sell'em at the reg prices.

here is some food for thought, there is very very little mark up on magpul products.

I can purchase their stuff at cost, and after shipping, Im barely under what it would cost to buy it from local shop, tax included.

Unless Im actually placing a "large order" I wont even bother
