2 uppers to 1 lower

Hello calgunners.
A quick question for you guys. Currently I have a 14.5 carbine length gas piston AR in use and now I'm planning to build a 16" mid length GI upper to use with my current lower. Question is since the build will be a different setup, am I going to have timing/cycling issues as far as the spring & buffer is concerned with the same lower? Thanks in advance.

A carbine spring and buffer should work perfectly fine for both.

And you know you'll want to get another lower so both your uppers have something to sit on simultaneously.

that is fine, just don't do "2 uppers : 1 BCG" that will accelerate the death of all 3 components
