    Touch ups

Spent half an hour looking for local area that sell or similar to Birchwood matte black pen. Don't want to spend money online and shipping just for a pen. Anyone got any ideas to local places that sell them? I'm guessing Michael's or those arts and craft stores will. Thanks guys

Sharpie marks wipe off with CLP or pretty much any other cleaning product or oil. I personally don't think the touch up pens are worth it - they act more like paint and you glop it on. If the scratches really bother you then buy some real cold-blue touch up products like Aluma-black for aluminum and Dicropan or Oxpho-Blue for steel. You can apply these with a Q-tip and they make the shiny marks turn black. Applying a little heat before application helps as well. You can order this stuff from Brownells. It's more expensive than a touch-up pen but they actually work.

You're in East Bay? (SF bay area?)

I think Bullseye in San Rafael has some. If you're up for a drive I'd also suggest checking Marin Firearms in Novato.

But like shark says, they don't last much past a cleaning or two.

Turners had them locally to me; along with the blueing pens.
