Hello fellow Calgunners,
I've made the jump and decided purchase my first "evil black gun". Well, it's not really all that evil since it is just the Saiga 7.62x39 sporter variant.
Anyway, I know the are sold locally and many people have them here in California so I wasn't worried about them being legal and placed my order for one from Arms of America (great guys to deal with).
All was good, then I started going down the "flowchart" and I think I confused myself when looking at list A, B, and C because on list "c" I noticed that Kalashnikov USA Hunter Rifle/Saiga was listed. Does that mean all Saigas are illegal? Or just ones imported by Kalashnikov USA?
So, now I'm worried about who's import stamp is on the receiver of the Saiga that Arms of America is sending. Should I call them and ask? Or should I not worry? Does it really matter who the importer is and what is stamped on the receiver?
I'm so confused...I should have never moved out of a free state! Welcome to california laws I guess....
Much thanks, and apologies for the newbie question!
