From personal experience owning an M1A, I love it to death. Very accurate, the newer models have far less kick than the older ones, they're Lifetime Warranted(BIG) and even though I occasionally have to fork out sometimes for ammo, at the end of the day, its worth every penny to shoot the beast. It was designed for accurate shooting, and that's what its gonna do.

What should I get? A Mercedes or a Kia? That in its self should be the answer to your question. These platforms are as different as these cars. Go Scout and you will not be disappointed. I could not be happier with my Scout, it definitely gets more range time then my AK platform.

Hey I like m1a but comparing an ak to a kia? Cmon and the m1& def.aint no mercedes maybe a gmc or something but not a mercedes. The ak more comparable to a jeep wrangler 4x4 rugged keeps going. Now a barret thats a mercedez 338 lapua thats a bmw but mia maybe a suburban? Lol theyre both good guns
