geiselee ssa-e install issues

so as im putting together my tm-308 lower ive come across an issue. I installed the ssa-e trigger, and the trigger moves, but the hammer wont drop. I installed the dpms trigger to see if it would work, and it did. ive sent an email to geiselle, and a pm to nathan at tm, but it looks like the trigger hits the back of the slot for the trigger to drop out of the lower.
I have installed/removed the trigger at least a dozen times in the last two days. the second to last time, the trigger would not even budge. it seems something is up, but I dont know what. I have also tried it with and without the safety installed, makes no difference.
any advice on how to proceed?

please post pics of the trigger installed and laying out on the table. Then I can see what might be the issue.

Try taking the trigger assembly apart and follow the instructions to the letter. Mine was already "assembled" and I couldn't get it right. Finally took the thing fully apart and after re-assembly, no problems and adjustments to both stages were pretty easy to set.

sorry, I cant seem to find the battery for my camera for a pic. I have installed, and uninstalled the trigger at least a dozen times now. I cant see how it is installed wrong, unless there is some flaw somewhere. Its frustrating, the money for the trigger and it does not work.
I have heard back from bill from geiselle, hopefully he will be able to troubleshoot. I will let you guys know

I just put that same trigger into a TM-308 lower and I haven't had any problems.

Was this an 80%, or a precut? Have you looked to see if the back of the trigger is hitting the safety?

it wont drop the trigger even with the safety removed. im going to look a lot closer at it after work.

it almost sounds like the pocket isn't cut far enough.

so I installed the trigger in my ar15, and it works flawlessly. I used a veneer caliper and measured the distance between pin holes, center to center, and came up with .90 on the ar15, and .87 on the tm308. could this cause the issue?

It doesn't seem like that's enough to cause the problem you're having but I suppose it could? I would check through the hole where the trigger comes through. If its too thick it wouldn't let the trigger pivot far enough to allow the hammer to fall.
