    Harris Bipod

    Hi,
Seems to be the popular choice. Which one would you buy for 3-gun competition?
    Thanks,

I've never used it in 3 gun but I would recommend the S type (swivel) 6"-9" has been perfect for tactical and f class type matches where it's shot from the prone. A pod lock would be a +.... they run about $120

I have both and an Atlas would be my last choice for 3 gun. Atlas works on the bench when plinking but its not something to run and gun with. WAY too slow to deploy legs VS Harris yank and down. Some Pros were discussing this on SH if you care to learn something.

Harris have more then proved themselves down range.

I would *not* go with an Atlas for 3-gun - they're way too clunky to deploy quickly (as problemchild already pointed out.)

I would go with the 6-9" S model w/ podlock and throw some 550 paracord between the legs for the quickest deployment (like the picture below - pic is not mine.) That way you can throw out one leg and the other will go with it. Also, if you practice a bit ( a lot, actually) you can smoothly retract the legs by pushing down and pulling back when you move on.

Harris, much quicker to deploy and cheaper.
The liberal see's the glass as half full and tries to take more.
The conservative see's glass as half empty and tries to keep it that way.
I'm with the people on the side just pouring water in the glass trying to get a drink!
