AR build questions

I have a couple of questions regarding my AR build. I want to got with this upper from PSA. http://palmettostatearmory.com/2096.php

First question is what is a good rear site? I plan on staying with iron sites for the foreseeable future. I would prefer something that has windage and elevation adjustment, but I am open for all opinions.

My second, and less pressing question is, what options are there for toning down the stainless steel finish. I am going with Magpul FDE furniture and I am not sure about the shiney barrel.

(1) LMT rear sight for windage and elevation adjustable.

(2) Powder coat the barrel flat black or match your MOE parts

Till you're ready, get a good used carry handle from a take-off of a stag, RRA, or other reputable upper. They're all pretty close except the match rear sights which have finer threads so you can get 1/4 or 1/8 MOA increments for adjustment. I have a really simple K.I.S.S. upper from PSA and its been great. This was my build and the only thing I plan on doing to it is get a better trigger at some point. For a factory trigger, its actually OK, but its gotta be 8+ lbs. It is pretty smooth compared to a lot I've used. I did stone it a bit and smooth it out so that helped too.

1913 Rail on the bottom of the handguards to put a light or AFG on at some point. I used my TLR-1 on it for a bit but kicked a bit much of a shadow to the top so I'm going to get something a little longer and mount it one of these days but thats the last thing on my mind.

This thing has been great for a lightweight KISS build.

If you are going to stick with iron sights for a while, look at getting a detachable carry handle. Not an NC Star or an UTG. Those are airsoft versions, nomatter what they say. As for blackening the barrel, I have had good luck with durabake. I went with the bake version instead of the duracoat because I don't have an airbrush set up. I stripped down my upper, degreased it, and then spray-painted all the parts I wanted coated. I tossed it in the oven for a couple of hours (follow the instructions), and I have had a good, hard coating on mine ever since. Another popular coating is alumahyde by brownells. It is a paint, but a very good paint for guns.
