Everything on that rifle is fine except the lower. Strip everything off of the lower, destroy it and dispose of it, and then put all the old parts onto a new (legal) stripped lower.

Thanks guys so I'm just gonna strip the lower and destroy it and sell the rest as parts. I know I'm asking a lot but would I need to go through a FFL to sell as parts?? and what would a resonable price be for all the parts minus the lower (probably fired 300 rounds).

The even better idea.. and it does make sense since military personel shouldn't be penalized for getting stationed in CA.. then again CA rarely makes sense.
