Well, write Calico a letter and ask them to come out with a similar 9mm model with a new name! Sure, the rotary magazine limited to 10 rounds somewhat defeats the whole ideology of the gun, but at least you would own one now - and not later. And consdiering that Calico was started in Bakersfield, CA, they might just be willing to stick it to DOJ on the OLL issue.

The one I USED to have ran like a swiss watch as long as you fed it FMJ ammo. Ahhhh, I miss the early 90's!! Flashbacks of the movie Total Recall come to mind (reason I bought gun in first place to be cool like arnold)

They were kinda heavy though with that 100 round mag in it. Not easy to pack around as a CCW istol

Thanks.. Was FMJ the ammo that need to be used?

hmm... isn't the rimfire semi auto like ruger 10/22 having the same 10 rd mag limit?

what else are on your list?

I have the M-100 which is the .22LR, and mine has the collapsible shoulder stock (a rare accessory). It shoots well and is very reliable - it's one of the most reliable semi-auto, high-capacity magazine fed .22LR rifles I have ever owned/fired. Somewhere here on Calguns, in some long-forgotten thread, there are photos of it.

Very interesting to see that Calico is back... Not surprising though, now there's no more federal AW ban. Last I'd heard they moved to Sparks, NV, then shut down. I still own one of their M-950 9mm pistols (in a safe in a storage locker in another state).

They are fun guns, but I wouldn't use it if my life depended on it. The crank on the back of the helical mag is a bit finnicky, if you don't have just the right amount of tension on it, you'll get FTF.

they never sold well in CA, I remember Turners couldn't get rid of them. I've played with a few in my time... the helical feed mag is an awesome idea...butt ugly gun though

With all the other off list recievers I've been seeing, why would this be any different?

The list only includes the "M-900" and "M-950", and the recievers are marked "Liberty".
