Actually I think you can get a 14.5mm JDJ which is an upscaled round on the .50 BMG case. http://www.sskindustries.com/14_5.htm

How much money do you have?

In a bolt gun the 600 Overkill is available but it is a custom job that will cost you a few thousand.

          Also:
          577 trex
          550 magnum
          585 nyati
          550 express
          510 wells/500 a2/500 jeffe/505gibbs

Those all have letters from the BATF that they are "Sporting Cartridges" so you don't run into the "Destructive Devices" rule for cartridges over .50 caliber.

If you ask like that, I'm not sure that you should have an airsoft.

That would be a good one.

The one we can't have anymore. Surplus .50 BMG used to be reasonable, I don't about now.

                            In a readily available gun:

                            +1 for the .510 DTC

For value/a "reasonably priced caliber" big-bore:

In my opinion, your best bet would be a CZ Safari Magnum in .458 Winchester Mag.

You can get one with either a Bavarian-style hogsback stock or in a more conventional "American" configuration for under $1000. Four different-colored laminate patterns are also available for a little extra.

A box of 20 cartridges costs ~$100, far less than most of the other "big bore" rounds.

Do a Google search for the CZ 550 Magnum/BRNO 602, check out the ballistics on any of the major ammunition makers' web sites, and I think you'll be impressed.

                              Mag-Fed 20MM Rifle

Here is is next a wimpy .50 BMG

                              It's only 6' 8" long

However, this is a destructive device, so don't get your hopes up in CA.
