Lancaster AK transfer Documentation

Howdy! I am having a whole lotta trouble finding out how to document a Long Gun transfer from parent to child. I asked Turners and they said there's some sort of online document and I send in 25 dollars, but thats only for pistols. I know I do not legally require documentation for Parent to Child Transfer but, since its an OLL and its California, I'd like to move all responsibility to myself.

Help me out! Assistance is much appreciated! Thank you in Advance!!

its hard to find because they dont exist. parent to child xfers for longguns are paperless.

I thought essentially all long guns were paperless. Only reason we wait ten days is for backround check. Is that rite?

Yea, long gun transfers are paperless in this case IIRC. After all there is no change of to whom it is registered to because there is none.

10 day wait has nothing to do with the background check. Background check is pretty much immediate. 10 days are just cooling off period.

Whay exactly is a cooling off period? I mean what does it mean? I know it chaps my @ss everytime I have to wait 10 days to pick up my new toy.

Lol its like a kid at Christmas you think dec 24 is never gonna end up all nite listening for santa or watever wierdo is climbing down the chimney.
