BCG hitting buffer threads in lower, thoughts?

Looks like the BCG has been banging into the threads as they're cleanly taken off on either side at the same place:

The BCG and Buffer make contact before the lower closes and I don't see any chatter marks from the buffer hitting the retainer so I don't think it's that. Upper and lower have a good fit but not super tight. Rifle shoots great otherwise so I'm really confused here.

Maybe bad buffer, spring, or out of spec buffer tube?

edit: carbine buffer, tube and spring

Looks like your lower might be a tad out of spec. Frankly, I wouldn't worry about it as that material will probably wear down until it's not an issue anymore.

If it greatly troubles you, contact the manufacturer. I've seen issues like this before though and if it doesn't cause any sort of reliability issue..........carry on.

While unusual for DI, the wear will stop after the parts have settled in. If you want you can always touch up the anadizing.
