What is the verdict on Enterprise FALs?

Just helping someone out with the due diligence part of gun shopping.

Somehow, I'm skeptical of them, just like the century FALs.

If these are indeed ****, I told my buddy to suck it up and get a DSA.

Your buddy can get one that has been reverse engineered and subject to monday/friday syndrome, or he can get one built on FN machinery to FN specs by people who take pride in their work.

Buy once, cry once; save for the best.

In the past they where terrible. They would cheat on prep work on their receivers and complete guns.Saying their receivers where heat treated to a certain hardness and etc.Even building guns for other people. Saying that they test fired and gun, even though they did not. The latest ones I have heard are a lot better. I have seven Fal's .Two orginal Belgium ,two entreprise receivers,Two Imbel and one DSA. The parts ones where built by a friend who is no longer building fal's,He used to work for Entreprise. The DSA is factory built. If you can find a Imbel receiver. They and the DSA are made on factory FN machinary.

I have a Entreprise fal it works flawless. With that said you get what you pay for. The fit and finish on a DSA is much better than an entreprise build.

I've got around 100rnds through my Entreprise Arms' FAL, no problemo's. I also bought a primo model. Entreprise Arms' occassionally sells "blems" for under $700, but cosmetically they are thrashed

i've had 2 entreprise fals 1 bought in 2008 it had chronic failure to feed. i sold it. i waited a couple of years than in 2010 i bought a blemished fal from them it also had chronic failure to feed even after being warranteed several times. i thought they fixed it the last time and sold it to a fellow calgunner.
save your money and buy either a dsa or coonan or imbel built by someone who has some clue about what they are doing. i would never buy anything built by entreprise ever again.

Huh. I guess that's why I got it for the price I did. I did have some initial problems with it, but bent some of the feedlips on new mags a bit and now it runs great, so I guess they kinda did fix it in the end. Cut the barrel down a bit and did some rattle can job on it. I like it now, one of my favorite rifles.

wow its like a night and day difference from when i had it! what mags did you use with it. i had a couple of the korean mags and they had few misfeeds w turkish and federal ammo. the turk ammo is pure junk. the coonan i have now didn't like the korean mags i have some izzy mags but havn't tested them yet.

I got some izzy mags that work great as well. I tried the Korean ones by mistake, horrible. With the Izzy mags, some small adjustments to the feedlips raised the rounds enough to eliminate the bullet override that was every other round initially. Great rifle and pretty accurate, even after I had it chopped to 16".

I got myself a blem. I figured I wanted to shoot it , not look at it. I have no complaints. But look at the internals too. All the parts are well worn. Mine is accurate though.

I would get a DSA just because the enterprise reps were mad-dogging me at the gunshow.
